Operations Designed to

Sustain the Environment

Imports Unlimited is committed to operations that benefit the people and the land where it operates.  Our goal is to have profitable operations and we believe that we can accomplish this goal without destroying the environment in which we live and work.  We believe that it is counter-productive to put the profits ahead of sound practices that will enhance the future of our operations.

This is an easy goal to work on.  It doesn’t take much to design a system of production that is in harmony with the natural land values and one that brings a better way of living for the people of the area we will be conducting our operations.  “Where there is a will, there is a way,” I was once told and that has stuck with me ever since.  So here we can prove that there are many different ways to accomplish the same task.  And one of those ways will be in harmony with nature.

There are several primary areas of concern for our operations that we have solutions for.  These areas are also the concern of the conservation groups and the Rainforest Alliance.

  • Chemicals and pesticides.
  • Depletions of natural minerals and soil elements.
  • Destruction of natural land cover and ecosystems.
  • Maintaining and returning natural soil rebuilding vegetation.

We will be operating in many different countries and in many different environments.  Our planners and engineers will be constantly looking for new ways to make our operations comply with the above goals.  We will not be stuck in the “cookie-cutter” mode of designing our operations.  Each operation will carefully consider the requirements in the local environment and people.  Then we will build the best and highest quality processing plants that the local conditions will permit.  If we see that we cannot achieve this goal in a particular location then we will go else-where where we can work in harmony with nature and still accomplish the goals of the company.
